Pilgrim Pines Announces New Executive Director
Pilgrim Pines, a Christian camping and conference center of the East Coast Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, has announced the selection of Scott Lee as its new executive director. Lee comes from the insurance industry and brings with him extensive experience in executive leadership and risk management. Lee is well-acquainted with the ministry of Pilgrim Pines, having served recently on its Board of Directors, three years as President. The selection was made following a national search and selection process. Lee will start as Executive Director July 8th.
“I am delighted to welcome Scott Lee to serve as Executive Director at Pilgrim Pines. Having known Scott personally for over 40 years, first as Squanto campers together, and most recently enriched by serving on the Pines Board together, I am enthusiastic to engage with him in leadership. Scott’s enduring love for Christ, his readiness to answer this call to Christian ministry, his personal knowledge of the Pines community, and his significant management background in a client services industry, will be harnessed to extend and expand this vibrant Christian camping ministry in new ways towards churches, non-profits, and the broader Monadnock regional community. When you hear Scott’s story of how God has led him to apply for this opportunity it brings me deep assurance and joyful conviction that this is clearly God’s hand at work.” – Howard K. Burgoyne, Superintendent, East Coast Conference
“The East Coast Conference board was encouraged to hear of the prayerful diligence and discernment by the ED Search Committee and the recommendation of the Board of Directors of Pilgrim Pines. Our further deliberations and review of their process resulted in a unanimous decision to confirm Scott Lee’s nomination by voting to Call him to serve as our next Executive Director.” – David Holder, Chair, East Coast Conference Board of Directors
