ASSOCIATE SUPERINTENDENT & DIRECTOR OF CHURCH PLANTING
Jason serves as the Director of Church Planting and Associate Superintendent for the East Coast Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Along with recruiting, assessing, coaching, and resourcing a tremendously gifted and diverse family of church planters, he serves on the Covenant’s four-person National Church Planting Team, shaping the larger mission for the US and Canada.
A native New Englander, Jason grew up in Presque Isle, ME, attended college in Worcester and Quincy, MA at Eastern Nazarene College, and began his ministry career in 1992 in South Portland, ME. He received his M.Div. from Northeastern Seminary, and was ordained by the ECC at our 125th Annual Meeting, June 2010.
Two years in youth ministry revealed a deeper calling to church planting, especially with emerging generations. The intervening years have included serving in five church planting settings, three of which in the lead planting role, primarily amongst urban cultural creatives.
